What causes hearing loss?
There are many different causes of hearing loss. Hearing loss can be caused by something temporary like wax in the ear canal or infection behind the eardrum or it can be caused by something permanent like exposure to very loud sounds or aging of the ears. As audiologists, we are trained to thoroughly evaluate your ears and hearing and determine the nature of your hearing loss so we can recommend the most effective treatment to help.
